Small to Medium Enterprise (SME)
A dedicated desk for Saudi businesses that need proper cover without a risk department to arrange it.
AP Plus runs a department for small and medium enterprises alone, so the businesses carrying the most risk relative to their size are not handed a packaged product and left to read it. We consult on what your activity actually exposes you to, what the Kingdom obliges you to hold, and what is worth adding.
Programmes are built from both medical and non-medical products, priced across the market and placed with insurers licensed by the Insurance Authority. You deal with one person, on one renewal calendar.
What Saudi law already requires
Three obligations catch almost every business in the Kingdom. We check them first, because a gap here stops an iqama or a vehicle registration rather than simply leaving you uninsured.
Health cover for your employees
Private-sector employers must hold health insurance for their employees and their eligible dependants, on a policy meeting the minimum benefits set by the Council of Health Insurance. Cover has to be live for an iqama to be issued or renewed.
View productThird-party liability on every vehicle
Motor third-party liability is compulsory for any vehicle used on Saudi roads and follows the unified wording, so the cover itself is identical between insurers and only service and price differ. Own-damage cover sits on top of it.
View productCover your licence depends on
Some activities cannot be licensed or renewed without insurance behind them, and medical malpractice cover for clinics and practitioners is the clearest case. We check what your licence obliges you to carry before quoting anything else.

What most Saudi SMEs add
None of these are compulsory. Each one answers a loss that would otherwise be paid out of working capital.
Fire and allied perils
Premises, fit-out, stock and equipment. Landlords and lenders commonly ask to be noted on the policy.
View productBusiness interruption
The income lost while you are not trading, bought alongside fire cover because the building is rarely the expensive part.
View productGeneral liability
Injury and third-party property damage arising from your operations, including work carried out at a client site.
View productWorkmen's compensation
Employer liability for workplace injury, alongside the occupational-hazards cover GOSI provides for registered employees.
View productMarine cargo
Imports from the point of loading to your warehouse, through the Kingdom's ports and across the land route.
View productCyber
Business interruption, extortion and third-party liability following a breach, and the cost of responding to one.

Working with the SME desk
One point of contact
The same person quotes your programme, handles the renewal, and picks up the phone when you have a claim.
One renewal calendar
Policies aligned to a common date where it helps, so cover is reviewed together rather than drifting apart across the year.
Claims handled for you
We prepare and pursue the claim with the insurer. You supply the facts; we do the correspondence.
Sized to the business
Sums insured checked against what you actually hold, so you are neither under-insured at claim time nor paying for limits you cannot use.
Not sure what your business needs?
Tell us your industry and we will come back with the cover that fits it.
